Uncle Muncle was founded in the late 90s when Michael Waugh started making homemade caramel corn as a sweet treat for friends, family, work events, and birthday parties.

He then chose to turn a fun hobby into a business with his first official client being a Christmas Tree farm. His niece is the inspiration behind the name (Uncle Michael doesn’t roll off the tongue for a 4 year old as well as Uncle Muncle does)!

After 20+ years in business, Michael was looking to pop right into retirement but with so many people counting on him for delicious caramel corn he knew he couldn’t close the doors for good.

In 2023, Kody Sutton took over as head chef, and while Michael is no longer popping corn he will always be Uncle Muncle.
